"At least try"

As we sit here hungry and sick people argue over where their money might go
Will it really go to me or a corrupt Pakistani politician they all want to know

Please don’t look for excuses as to why you shouldn’t, couldn’t and wouldn’t give
I and so many others here desperately need your generosity in order to live

The clock is ticking as so many of us are suffering and many more of us might die
How will you live with yourself knowing that to help me you didn’t at least try?
